RobertKB Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 At the risk of incurring the wrath of certain members for posting ongoing ebay auctions, I am going to post a most unusual one for a 1938 Dodge Pickup Roadster. It is a real roadster and like some other unusual and interesting Chrysler products it comes from Australia. This would be a cool beasty to own but I have a feeling it will go for big dollars. Enjoy! http://cgi.ebay.ca/Dodge_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ65Q3a10Q7c66Q3a2Q7c39Q3a1Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem4cea2e7cb1QQitemZ330346429617QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucksQQsalenotsupported Quote
Dennis Hemingway Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 Wow, That is nice. Dennis:cool: Quote
Andydodge Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 Actually its not that big, same wheelbase as the sedans but the timber bed makes it look much larger........I had the remains of a 1939 Plymouth Factory Roadster Ute back in the late 70's, just the cowl, dash,floor,1 door and rear body panels but also a heap of pics taken before it was disassembled by someone else, before I ended up with the remains......that 38 Dodge looks to have the same windscreen & posts that my 39 Plymouth had, basically 35/36 Roadster posts......the Dodge would be a unique car anywhere let alone Texas.........andyd Quote
Tony Cipponeri Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 Norm, Texas ain't that far from New Mexico, HUUUUH? Tony C Quote
RobertKB Posted July 22, 2009 Author Report Posted July 22, 2009 Norm, Tony is right. Maybe instead of a '41 Plymouth buzy coupe, this could be your dream project! Quote
Normspeed Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 Just an hour away, but two days across it! That pickup would be sweet chopped, channelled and with a SBC for power. Quote
RobertKB Posted July 22, 2009 Author Report Posted July 22, 2009 That pickup would be sweet chopped, channelled and with a SBC for power. Norm, how sacrelilgious! I know you are kidding but there are those out there that would do that. Rationale.....if I put a Camaro clip on it, I will have left-hand drive. Quote
hkestes41 Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 Right in my backyard, unfortunately my bank account is probably not even big enough for a look-see. Quote
David Strieb Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 Several years ago I exchanged info with the (then) owner when the truck was in aussie land, and was sent these pics. I think it would look better with the orginal bed. I've had my '38 series RC half ton for 26 yrs, always a fun ride. Quote
