As most of you might have heard, we had a slight fire here Wednesday. A driver of a car lost control and caused a gas tanker to jacknife. The tanker was then hit by a semi. Word is that the tanker was carrying 13000 gallons of fuel. This happened under a overpass that is a main road through the cities. The heat from the fire caused half of the overpass to collapse. The driver of the car says he did nothing wrong. Here are some pics that my son shot. He's a police officer in the neighboring city and was called in early to help out. He spent over 12 hours at the scene.

Hope the two truck drivers were not hurt or killed. typical " it wasn't me " frame of mind, i got a 6 pac saying it was his fault. we had one here about 7 years or so ago, and i almost got hit by the lady thay caused it. she was flying up a 180* curved onramp in the rain and lost it at the top of the ramp and went into the draw bar of the two trailers and pushed it into the center divider where it burst into flames. i did not see that part but when i got my friends house a 1/2 mile away i saw the smoke. killed the driver and the dumb broad got out without a scratch. funny thing was my neighbor rented out a stable to a girl that worked for the tanker co as a driver, (mind you i live 60 miles from where it happened) and a few weeks later we were talking and i mentioned the wreck and she said she knew the driver well, when i told her about the lady almost hitting me she asked if i would mind talking to the company as they were trying to blame the driver for speeding witch he wasn't, said sure. not only did i talk to the co i also talked to a detective from chp about it. found her guilty and locked her up! i hate when people don't own up to their actions, cowards!

Early this morning I drove from the Boro to Memphis, Tennessee. Near Jackson, Tennessee I picked up a radio station that was talking about a gas tanker explosion that happened yesterday (Thursday). Seems a gasolene tanker was dropping a load at a station when some idiot customer drove over the unloading hose, resulting in an explosion.

Those are spectacular pictures! And yet, I don't understand. He says he hit the tanker, but he didn't make a mistake. ???

That's probably the way they drive in Iran, so it's ok to drive that way here.
