HI all, I know this question has come up before on the forum. I couldn't find the answer I needed searching the forum. maybe I missed something.

Iam having trouble trying to wire the turn signal up on my 50 ply. the wiring diagram in the manual doesn't go into much detail. does someone have a wiring dia they can share? or information?

comeing from the flasher to the turn signal is a red wire, then coming from the turnsignal there is 6 wires 2 yellow 2 green 2 brown. which one of these 6 wires is the common or hot to the turn signal switch

I recently installed turn signals on my P15.

I had a wiring diagram from the signal-kit. But al the colours were faded... & I didn't had the time or motivation to seek all the proper wires in the car. :P

So I rewired the car with turn signal-wires. (just 4 wires... that's all)

This was much easier and faster!!

then off course, there is a lot of trial & error... but with a multi-meter (or how do you call it),you can find out which wire sends a left or right signal out.

by the way, the flasher... is it a model with 2 or 3 connectors?

However, I suffered from other "problems" after that...

Just click the link: Flasher troubles -> click here.

Hope this will help you!

Regards,

Kurt

After market units use different colors and colors on original wire diagrams do not always agree but of the 6 wires you are looking at 3 wires are going toward the front left ,right signals and to flasher. The other 3 are go to the rear left, right signals and to the stop light switch. So you should be able to figure out which is going to the signal lights and the one remaining is the one to the flasher or stoplight. Hope this makes sense

would you by chance have an original turn signal or are you hooking up an aftermarket..brown is right turn signal with one going to the front and the other to the rear....green is left, one to the front one to the rear..the red is the power as it is fed through the flasher..the white wire on the flasher itself will go to the inside turn signal indicator lamp..your two yellow wires are confusing and thus I am assuming aftermarket and thus COULD be individual indicator lamp feeds..this is bsed on the original P17/P18 wiring harness..keep in mind that these did not have stop lamps feeding through the T/S switch and still utilized the single trunk mounted stop lamp.

If you have a model number off the T/S sw. assembly..please post that information
