Real cool old fan

Got this neat working six volt fan last weekend for 5 bucks. Had to clean it up but it works great and has a separate reostat that controls the speed of the fan. I guess this would be from the time period of the last 40's.

I have always wanted one of these but could never firgure out when I would use it. If I need air when I am driving I open the cowl vent or window. I guess if I were drving slow through city traffic it owuld be handy. Nice addition.

That's a good find for the money. Don't think I've ever seen one of those with a metal blade. Usually rubber blades. Maybe the rubber one broke like a lot of them did, and was replaced with a metal one.

When I was just a kid in the early 50's my father had an overcab truck he hauled his plastering equipment and scaffold boards in. Had one of those fans on the dash in that truck.

Are your brake and clutch pads original? I would think they would match. Both square, or both oval.

That little box is a very rare old cigarette container and dispenser. On the bottom front there is a hidden compartment that when you open it up a cigarette is sitting in there lit and readdy to smoke. Jon

Don that square pedal came oft a Chrysler and the other pad was next to it when I found it. So I guess thats why its square but what I like about it it says fluid drive on it.
