Plymouthy Adams Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 this is funny...read the comments...no personal stakes involved..but remove the wheels and you have just a turd that won't roll..but for 20.00 you can bid..tell the guy to use the money to pay someone to carry it off to the crusher... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-Model-A-MODEL-A-rat-hot-rod-coupe-truck-kustom-project-dodge-55_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6234QQihZ020QQitemZ300309600058QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW Quote
PatS.... Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 That's funny. One of his replies mentions he's "drunk off his a$$". Musta been when this thing was "built" as well. Hilarious!!! Looks like maybe it was a 56 Chrysler once upon a time. Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 Actually a project like that could be neat. Don't have to worry about restoring something. Just do your own thing with it, and that's fun. That said, seems the person asking the question is as bad as the seller. Neither know how to spell the word "Dumb". Quote
WatchingWolf Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 I'm with Norm on this one. Could be a neat project. A lot of people want to rail this guy for building something different. Not cool. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted April 26, 2009 Author Report Posted April 26, 2009 it is not railing the guy to go different..per say..it was the wording of the railing..as for doing something different..I actually did not see anything DONE in the photograph...the top is just sitting over the doors..actually that is what is holding the doors closed...no transisition has been worked out, not any indication that a thought has even be given to the idea..had there been a bit more work done my take would be a bit more approving..some of these rides like this show so much imigination ..but it should not be our imigination to try and picture the end product...for all practical purposes..I see this as a lift off hardtop vehicle that the top when removed is actually the truck bed cover... Don Coatney Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 Is there an advantage to buying a potential magazine car? If so what is the advantage? If there is such an advantage this would not be my choice. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted April 26, 2009 Author Report Posted April 26, 2009 Don..I do not think this vehicle has any true advantages...especially with the add saying the axles are not part of the deal... Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 You see this type of project car at swap meets almost all the time. Some really strange looking ones out there. If you saw the thread mentioning the Jefferson swap meet here, that's a very large meet twice a year. There is at least one project (both finished and unfinished) out there each time. The last one I saw, three of us just stood there and looked at it. It was finished but.......who knew with what. Was a real "What's it". Looked like it had parts from just about every car and maybe a tractor or two. We gave up on trying to figure it out. Would have ask but the owner wasn't around at the time. It was for sale though.
