BobT-47P15 Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 Was going thru my favorites list, checking to see what is stashed there. Found an ad from Juliano's. Just in case anyone is looking. http://www.julianos.com/anchor_plate.html Quote
busycoupe Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 Just last week I bought lap belts and those anchors from Juliano's. They work great! The anchor plates are substantial, far stronger than the floor sheet metal. I just hope I don't have to test the belts and floor anchors in ernest! Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 I have a set that I haven't put in the car, but they also have good anchor plates for under the floor. That said, the anchor plate will only be as strong as the floor though. My guess is, if you haven't replaced that section of floor with new steel, they probably wouldn't hold in an accident anyway. Case in point. Some years ago, back in the late 90's there were two people thrown from an old Jeep in an accident up north. They were both wearing aftermarket seat belts. Seats when with them when the flew from the Jeep. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted April 16, 2009 Author Report Posted April 16, 2009 Just remember - don't fasten seat belts to the frame. Quote

BobT-47P15 Posted April 17, 2009 Author Report Posted April 17, 2009 If the accident was severe enough, and the seat moved forward or even sideways, the ones attached to the floor would probably move some with you. But the ones attached to the frame would likely not budge any.....and add to your injuries even more. Quote
