pigheaded Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 Hello, Now I am hunting for as much information as I can get on my truck. Does anyone have any of the following books they might want to part with. Don Bunn: Dodge B-Series Trucks: Restorer's and Collector's Reference Guide 1950 Dodge B2 Truck Shop Service Repair Manual Book 1949 1950 1951 1952 1953 Dodge Truck Parts Book Manual 1950 Dodge Truck Owners Manual ( I am looking for an original one) I found a few on ebay, but thought that if someone here had them laying around collecting dust, maybe I could buy them from fellow members. Thanks, Jerry Quote
TodFitch Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 For you pleasure reading, certainly not for reference, you can add Truck by John Jerome, 1977 (and apparently later paperback editions). No, my copy is not for sale. Quote
Don Coatney Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 Someone just posted the Bunn books for sale on this forum. Do a search! Quote
Bob_Koch Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 Many of the manuals you're looking for are online on the DPETCA website. Which may help until you can find paper copies. If you haven't looked already, there's a lot of helpful material on the Dodge Pilothouse Era Truck Club website: http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/know/know.htm Quote
pigheaded Posted April 13, 2009 Author Report Posted April 13, 2009 Thanks, I have been all over the knowledge section of the website. I downloaded as much relevant information as I could find. I still want to get hard copies of the manuals. I like to have a hard copy with me when I am working on something. I emailed the person who was selling the books on the 8th of April, but I haven't received a reply. Thanks, Jerry Quote
grey beard Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 Just look down the thread listing for the one marked "Going out of business sale." He has these books listed. Good Luck Quote
pigheaded Posted April 22, 2009 Author Report Posted April 22, 2009 Well the books finally came in. Now on to research. Jerry Quote
coW52Dodge Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 Out of curiosity, Is that shop manual drastically different than the scanned PDFs? I prefer PDFs for when I need to work on something because I can search and print but prefer books when I'm just reading. Quote
Bob_Koch Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 The pdf's on the DPETCA site are scans of actual shop and parts manuals. I had to take the books apart and scan each page. I still have a number of books that need scanning, but it takes a lot of time and I have to decide whether to scan, or work on my truck. The truck's been winning my time lately. Quote
