BobT-47P15 Posted January 13, 2007 Report Posted January 13, 2007 From the HAMB. The teeth are VW bumper guards according to the fellow doing the work. Sort of resemble the much used DeSoto teeth. Click on links to view: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=218871&d=1157090203 In this second pic, you can tell they are guards. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=218872&d=1157090203 The old customizer ingenuity is still alive out there. A Chevy done the same way by the same fellow......may not like the car, but the work is good. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=218914&d=1157125313 Quote

Plymouthy Adams Posted January 13, 2007 Report Posted January 13, 2007 There are so many shop on the west coast that are geared around the VW..feel pretty certain that they would be available somewhere. Quick search on the net ought to get you some shops and online VW ctalogs. Quote

Normspeed Posted January 13, 2007 Report Posted January 13, 2007 When I was into VWs, there were a lot of Brazilian repop parts around and cheap. Bumpers, running boards...Had to watch for low quality chrome and thin metal though. That bumper guard idea really is slick. Quote
