I'm looking for the retainer clips that go on the ends of the brake & clutch pedal shaft on my 1947 d24 I think they call them horseshoe clips .No one seem to have them ,i've tried C clips E clips and retainer rings but they don't fit right.

be., if you live near any rural areas try finding an old tractor, farm equipment repair garage. you know the type, typically in an old barn or farm building that has been there forever. i needed a clip for a master cylinder where it has the shaft for the pedal to attatch to. i could not find it until i was turned on to the old farm repair shop way in the country. they had every clip you could think of and when i presented my dilemma to the old gent, he gave me the clip at no charge. it has been my experience that you can find anything if you keep looking and talking. just don't be in too much of a rush. capt den

If my antique memory is working,,,,,,,,,, about 50 years ago I had a problem with the clutch pedal working off the shaft and I used the soft "u" clip that goes on the brake shoes. Slip it on and close it up. I don't trust my memory that much except for the clutch pedal hitting the floor and staying there.

The clips look like this. Neil your memory is fine ,I've seen these clips alot around brake systems to hold flex hoses and to hold brake shoes to backing plates .Take care of that memory neil I will need it .
