BobT-47P15 Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 This ammeter is in the early 49 Plym coupe I got recently. Fits the opening and looks similar to P15 gauges......but has "50" on each side, instead of "35". Don't know yet if it works. Any idea what it came from?? Normal P15 ammeter on lower right in this pic. Quote

Young Ed Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 Does it look like this one? If so 51 ply Quote
steveplym Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 Looks like you nailed it Young Ed. Another reason why you should be nominated for POC prez. Quote
Young Ed Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 I have certainly been on a roll today identifying gauges. besides 2 on the forum i also figured out that the 39-47 truck speedo i have with another speedo crammed into it is a pilot house one. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted March 13, 2009 Author Report Posted March 13, 2009 Ed, that might be it......can't tell totally from the picture. 51 Plymouth.....Woolie says 51 Regent. 51 seems to have cropped up here. Thanks guys. I'm guessing whoever installed it may have gotten it from another Plymouth...a later model.... or some other Chrysler product... as that may have been the only similar thing they found. Not a big issue since I have a few more ammeters sitting around to use. Just curious as to what it could have come from. Quote
