Young Ed Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 FYI not all P15s have the horn relay out front like that. Mine is on the inner fender by the solenoid Quote
Hounddog Posted February 10, 2009 Author Report Posted February 10, 2009 Top left connector goes to the horns, top right goes to the horn button.Bottom left goes to the negative side of the ignition coil. Bottom right goes to the ammeter. Wow I was reading the diagram as looking at the car so i think i have everything wired backwards? I had the bottom left to the horns and etc... When I get off work Im going straight home to hook it up the other way.. wow I cant believe I missed that I feel pretty stupid at the moment.. Quote
steveplym Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 Hope it works for you. I'm always hooking up stuff backwards. I read the schematic 10 times and still forgot which way it goes. Don't feel so dumb. One additional note. I'm saying right or left as looking at it from the front of the car. So it would go top passenger side connector goes to the horns, top drivers side connector goes to the horn button. Bottom passenger side goes to the negative side of the ignition coil. Bottom drivers side goes to the ammeter. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 Sometimes when I want to pick out one thing to work on from the wiring diagram, I get out a piece of paper and draw out the path of the single item to get it out from all the confusion. You have to sometimes use the magnifying glass to make sure what is crossing over the other wire, etc. Maybe that method would help with your project. Quote

What exactly are you trying to add oil to? Do you have a service manual? EDIT. You need to sell the car and learn how to read. Quote

_shel_ny Posted September 29, 2015 Report Posted September 29, 2015 Thanks Shel. I must have missed his first posting. He needs to find another hobby. I would be more than happy to give him a hand with the car (with what little I know), but may be too far away. may be someone nearer that could assist. Quote
