47heaven Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 As you may recall, a couple of weeks ago I munched my fender up while reversing out of a parking stall. Anyway, the fender has been repaired and the body shop matched the paint perfectly. The only problem is that something bled through the paint on top of the fender and I have to take it back to have it repainted. Other than that, you couldn't even tell that it had an accident. No...the old trim piece looked like a pretzel. It was beyond repair, in my opinion. This new trim piece was an extra I had. I think it's really for the right side, but to me they basically look the same. Quote

Yeah, I get a lot of compliments on that green for some reason because it's not a common color. The "older" folks remember the color, while the younger crowd just likes it. I've heard called everything from pistachio to seafoam green (even someone said Easter egg green ), but I know it's Seacrest Green, and that's all that matters, right? Quote

Norm's Coupe Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 Hard to tell in the picture. But.....almost looks like they didn't get enough paint over the repaired section. Looks like it could be body filler used to do a little final smoothing out. Otherwise looks good. As for the fender trim piece. I have two NOS ones for my coupe in a box. As mentioned, the two are different. However, the difference is so minute you really have to look hard to tell the difference. I don't think it matters once they are on the car. Not many people would ever notice the difference. Quote
