Norm's Coupe Posted January 25, 2009 Report Posted January 25, 2009 I don't remember my first post on the old forum. Was near the beginning though. Before GTK built his site he and I were on the Mopar section of the old Classic Car.Com forum. He mentioned it there and I checked it out. At the time we were selling our penetrating oil in individual cans and advertising it in Old Cars Weekly (we stopped selling it that way now). However, at the time GTK had an area in the site for advertisements. We had one there and so did a few others. In fact there was someone advertising "New" P15 clocks at that time too. So, I guess you could say GTK referred me to the site. Quote
blueskies Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 Any other plank owners beside Pete still here? If I had a dollar for every hour I've spent here since 2000... I could retire. Pete Quote
BeBop138 Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 I was on the WPC site and I don`t think they apreciated my questions on modifications. They said you guys were more forgiving. Lots of good info here. The Inliners site has helped also. It`s nice to talk about the things you have done without being put down. Better to modify than go to the crusher. Plus the OT banter is great........Thanks guys...........Lee ( 52 Windsor ) Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 I was on the old site as well. I knew nothing of the flat head 6, I remember talking of getting rid of the car because I could not start the motor. Some of the original members of the forum talked me down off the roof. I built the car with their help and enjoyed it ever since. Sometimes when you need help real bad your desire puts you on the path of discovery, I don't know how I found the site. I am very glad I did, fantastic just a jewel in a sea of cyber space:) Quote
greg g Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 Wasn't there a time when this forum was hosted on the Classic Cars.com server, then it moved to the other board, then finally to this one. I found the site after I pulled the car from the barn it had been sitting in since 1980. I found it after I found out it was a P15 and did an altavista search for P15. Den up popped de debil. I believe it was November of 2000. Quote
