aero3113 Posted January 13, 2009 Author Report Posted January 13, 2009 It looks like they will be doing the work Thursday. The guy told me he will hold a spot in the shop for me. We will see what happens Quote
Normspeed Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 My 53 never had the silencers. I'd put some in but hate to lose any of the lowering job. Quote
Niel Hoback Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 Would it do any good to just line the upper and lower spring pockets with something like truck inner tube material? It probably wouldn't absorb any up and down movement, but at least stop it from squeaking ? Quote
aero3113 Posted January 15, 2009 Author Report Posted January 15, 2009 I finally got the car in the spring shop today. First time I got to drive it in the snow, wasn't too happy about it but was fun. The car should be finished sometime next week. Quote
blueskies Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 What brand and size are your new www tires? Are they radials or bias ply? Thanks for the info... Pete Quote
Young Ed Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 That seems like quite the amount of shop time. Hope they do good work in all that time. Quote
aero3113 Posted January 15, 2009 Author Report Posted January 15, 2009 Pete,they are Sumitomo tires, 700 X 15 radials with 3 1/2 inch white wall Quote
aero3113 Posted January 20, 2009 Author Report Posted January 20, 2009 I went to the spring shop (forgot my camra)to check on the plymouth and It looks like the new front springs took the car up three inches (good guess young ed) looks like the tires will fit once mounted also when they are mounted it looks like the car will go up another 1-2 inches.. They did not get to the rear leafs yet. Quote
