pflaming Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Heard about the Turlock meet today. Last Saturday in January. I plan on going. Those from the west who go, name a good eating place at the swap meet and lets get acquainted. Any one interested name the place. Quote
Bob_Koch Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 Went two years ago to this. It's hugh and lots of fun. Didn't find much in mopar parts, though. Not sure if I'll be going this year. As time gets closer I'll let you know if I think I'm going to make it. Might go to Lodi over that weekend and then swing down to Turlock for the meet on Saturday. Always enjoy meeting some of the other members. Quote
Frank Elder Posted January 8, 2009 Report Posted January 8, 2009 Bob or Paul, on HWY 12 near Lodi there was a fruit stand called Phillip farms back in the late 90's, Is it still there? Quote
Jim Shepard Posted January 8, 2009 Report Posted January 8, 2009 I'm thinking about going this year. Haven't been in a couple of years and never really find anything for MOPAR. I did score a really nice valve cover for my little 241 hemi, though. Mostly it's fun to walk through and see everything. Quote
Bob_Koch Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 I'm headed to Lodi this weekend - I'll look for Phillip farm. where should I look? Quote
Frank Elder Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 On hwy 12 about 2 miles before you get to hwy 5, I know thats vague but the wife is the one that bought all the produce there. Thanks Bob. Quote
Bob_Koch Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Frankie47. Yes, Phillips farms is still there and looks like they're doing just fine. I drive by it on every trip to Lodi, just hadn't noticed the name. It's about 1/2 mile east of the Flying J station and restaurant, which is the 12/99 intersection. Since you seem to know the area I'll share with you that our normal 2 1/2 trip from Santa Rosa to Lodi on Friday night took almost 5 hours. There was a head on collision between hwy 99 and Rio Vista that closed the highway and also a spill on the Rio Vista bridge. Traffic was at a stand still for 4 miles west of Rio Vista. We turned around and had to drive up to Sacramento, back down on 99 to the Flying J intersection and then on to Lodi. A very long night. If you haven't visit Lodi in years you'll probably find that it's all grown up now. Quote
Frank Elder Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Was in cali last year and hit all the hot vacation spots Visalia Porterville Terra Bella Tulare...we missed out on Lodi though when we went it was to visit the in-laws,grand kids etc. Porterville and TB are almost grown together!
