A friend and I took a road trip today, We went to a small town called ruckerville VA to check on a car we saw in the new Car & Parts mag. It was a 1941 Studebaker coupe. This guy was a real peice of work wanted 10,000 for a junk parts car:mad: I was so mad I was steaming.

We got in the truck and went down RT230 and saw a sign that read " 20's antique museum" so we went in and met this real nice lady Martha. Her father had passed away and left her and her mother all these great cars.

She was showing me her 1962 hawk when my eyes fell on something so bizzar I could not believe it. On top of a box of Model A stuff was a set of 1940 PLYMOUTH HORNS COMPLETE:) :) :) :D I thought I was going to faint. I asked her how much and a deal was struck. I was so happy I could not contain myself. I got the horns home and tested them and got a clicking sound, then I remmebered Jim sent me a horn relay I hooked it up and they blow so loud that I can hardly believe itIMG_0067-1.jpg

Now you can blow your own horn! Hope you get them mounted on the car right away and go out and scare a few people! It's amazing how sometimes the parts we need and have tried to find for a long time suddenly appear out of nowhere. I looked all over for a hood ornament for my '38 Chrysler. I bought one out of New York but it was so badly pitted it was virtually beyond repair. This was in the days before the internet so you could not see pictures of what you were buying. Finally found one in a small town about 80 miles from where I live. When I restored my '48 Dodge club coupe it needed a back window as mine had been shot out. It's the only piece of curved glass in the whole car and different than the sedan. Looked for years with no luck. Finally came across an old coupe body miles from nowhere with all the glass out of it except for the back window. Guy said give me $20 and take anything you want off the car. Sometimes you just get lucky like Rodney did with the horns.

Great news, Rodney.

To me, those look just like the horns for a P15. Maybe the

mounting bracket is different.

The only thing that looks different to me is the extended bracket that goes part way down the bells, which look like a good idea to me!

Yes, there is a very big difference, the ext. brackets because the horn is so long and the bracket that holds the horns to the mounting bracket. these horns came with the relay and wiring. Because I had all that I could subsitute Jim's relay and make a new wire harness. I had to paint them up real nice. I think next week I will bring the Plymouth home and install them. I am so happy I could just scream:o
