steveplym Posted October 27, 2008 Report Posted October 27, 2008 Looks like things are looking up Ed. Glad you got some parts so you can get your coupe back on the road. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted October 27, 2008 Report Posted October 27, 2008 Lights not working......how about that little connector bar on the inner left fender where they all join??? Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted October 27, 2008 Report Posted October 27, 2008 I reviewed my policy with Hagerty and in the exclusions it does say you cannot use it for work. So if you were a pizza delivery guy or newspaper delivery guy you could not use it for that. Most insurance companies have that exclusion in their personal auto policies. You would have to get a commercial auto policy for that. What it didn't say is that you cannot drive it to and from work specifically. It does say it is to be used infrequently and for club activities, car shows, etc. Maintenance and test drives are not off limits though. I have antique plates with the state of IL and it does note in their paperwork you cannot drive the licensed car to work or school. I know people that do though. I haven't looked at my antique policy lately, or even my regular insurance policy for modern cars. However, all auto insurance policies usually have another clause in them that states: "You are covered as long as the vehicle is being used in a lawful manner." "If you are committing an unlawful act while driving it, it's not covered." Or something to that effect. Now for the fine line. If you have collector or antique plates like Steve and I do (mine in Wisconsin), those plates are not to be used on a vehicle to drive to and from work. So.....if you drive it to and from work you are breaking the law and can receive a ticket for doing so, if a cop really wants to be a stickler. Again, it's a fine line, but if the insurance company wanted to, they could use that clause to not pay the claim. Ed, are you sure you were going to work that day and not just out for a test or fun drive? Quote
Young Ed Posted October 27, 2008 Author Report Posted October 27, 2008 Bob it could very well be that terminal block at the front. Things aren't in too good of shape up there. Will just have to see what looks broken when the old front clip comes off. Quote
55 Fargo Posted October 27, 2008 Report Posted October 27, 2008 Glad to see you are making progress Ed, hope it comes together as you would like...........Fred Quote
Young Ed Posted October 27, 2008 Author Report Posted October 27, 2008 Fred I'd like it to magically come back together in a nice light yellow hue. Don't think thats going to happen quite yet I'll settle for driving her again. I'm sure I'll probably discover a few little missing pieces here and there but at this point I believe the only parts I am missing are the 4 large grill bars. Got sniped on the last set I tried to buy on ebay grrrr..... Quote

49plymouthdotcom Posted October 27, 2008 Report Posted October 27, 2008 Nice looking haul. Just let me know if that 49 bumper is in the way. I'll store it, no charge. However, it may get mixed up with my parts and you'd probably not get it back. Quote
