But I made carboard template copies anyways.... just in case, that way I'll always have em on hand....

And I redid one of the old visors....

All I need now is the "string" that goes around the edging (in blue) (anyone know where I can get some?) and sew it on, put the clips back on, and voila... new visors..... color coordinated for my car....

Thanx Neil for the heads up.... glad to know "what" i'm looking for....as for the color, I just want something to match the last pic.....

And Charlie, don't worry bout it.... take ur time.... I'm not worried about it... but when I'm bored, I have enough to do with mine before I work on others... :D Still got another visor, 4 door panels, 2 seats etc to do, among other things....

If I could afford another car, I definitely would too.... but unlike Tim, I gotta have one that works first :D before getting 5 or 6 others.....

As for the visors, they match the kick panels..... and an example of the swatch of tweed......dark blue.... 12.95 a yard online... and I was quoted

$50/yard canadian for the same stuff up here..... guess where I'm buyin it.....

Allan, I did drive the Spitfire out of the shop tonight with the exhaust system now complete..looks good and sounds good also..not bad considering I had only a 2 1/2 collector as a start...I used a reducer and took 2 1/4 to the rear..then reduced it to 2 inch as I had a Dodge Diplomat muffler and rear pipe like new in the barn..after a bit of cutting and weldingl viola..an exhaust system is born. Maybe now I can get the shop a bit straightened up and get back to work on my 41..

Geez Tim, where you gonna get the exhaust system now for your Diplomat restoration??? Ah ya, forgot... that restoration is probably 4th or 5th on the list, right??? :D (did I mention I was bored....all kinds of things go thru my mind in those times..... :))

Glad you got something out and runnin.... now to drive it a while.... wish I could drive mine.... ah well, I'll just keep pluggin away....

gonna try to put a few miles on it today to check it's roadworthy..probably drive it uptown a bit, fill it up and get a spare key made if possible...then maybe run by the tag office and take care of that...first things first thogh..go to make it to the landfill..too many old tires about the place that have to go deep six.

Took mums and the boy out to Shoney's for breakfast...now going to try and get some work out of them..yeah right...!!!!!!!
