Don Coatney Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 What is the status of your smashed P-15? Quote
Young Ed Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 Still smushed Trying to get the other guys ins to pay. If/when they won't I will most likely just buy some parts and put my car back together. The junkyard in Delano has 2 p15s with complete clips. They will sell a clip for $450 or the whole car for $650.00. Also Dad ran into a guy with a p15 of some sort sitting on his farm in WI. Supposedly he's going to call and tell us when and how to come get it. Quote
Don Coatney Posted October 1, 2008 Author Report Posted October 1, 2008 Are you going to turn any damage on your insurance? Do you have antique car insurance? Quote
Young Ed Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 Don I havent decided yet. I do have antique ins. Quote
old woolie Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 On the topic of insurance, how does it work where you folks are? Here insurance is based on appraised value. If your car has it's original drive train, with no modification's,coverage is dirt cheap. For example,my 51 Dodge is appraised at $7500 plus tax, yearly premium is $98.00. A buddy has a 36 Plymouth 4 door with a 6 cyl auto od appraised at $11,500 and pay's $700 plus per year because it is considered a street rod. Quote
Ed Griffin Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 Speaking of smashed Plymouth's, came across this one last night. Frame bent but supposedly can be straightened. Looks like it was a pretty clean car before the wreck. Other side looked great. Quote

Street rod or not coverage is still pretty cheap through certain companies. I know I pay about $400 a year for both truck and Plymouth car. Full coverage, truck is valued at 15K and Plymouth at $10k. Grundy and Hagerty have good coverages. There are others out there as well. Quote
Young Ed Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 Sad about that 38. Is someone going to fix it? Quote
