Front wheel bearing number???

Anyone have handy the number for a P15 front wheel bearing.?

I guess this is the opportunity for me to get an opinion or two. :)

I am in the process of revising my on-line parts database to be a merge between the format of the 1928-33 Master Parts book and the format 1936-49 Master Parts book.

The 28-33 book has things broken into "Groups" with subheadings I call "Sub-Groups" (e.g. 22-D Wheel Bearings). It is often difficult to find parts in the paper version of this as there is a lot of fine print to go through and very few pictures. For my purposes it has the nice property that I can add entries to each part listing cross reference information.

The 36-48 book has tons more illustrations and defines "Part Type Codes" which it displays in a nice tabular form. This is great for finding the correct Chrysler part number and to quickly see what other years used the same part. However it has the disadvantage that it is hard to add annotation (dimensions) or cross reference information.

This question has prompted me to enter the data for wheel bearings into the database and the result can be viewed at:

http://www.ply33.com/Parts/group22#22-D

I would like to get some feedback about this new direction before I get too much labor invested in it. Does using the 1936-48 tabular form to look up the part number with a hyperlink to the 1928-33 text form for description and cross reference make sense?

By the way, I see that the Timken numbers for the front wheel bearings are the same for the early cars as for the later even though the Chrylser number differs. Any explanation?

From the Mitchell catalog; outer cup-09194, outer cone-09074

inner cup-14276, inner cone-14123

On the main site GTK has the inner cone as 14125A.... If I read his table correctly. Any more votes on that one (the other match what I read from that table)?
