I have a 48 d24 with fluidrive. I had the original engine rebuilt along with the trans. and rear end. I love driving the car but it seems to be really low geared. the rear end is the original. Does anyone know if its possible to do a swap so that it is not so low geared? Or do I have to change the rear end.

My 47 DeSoto with tiptoe trans has a 3.91 differential, numerically high, but maybe what you would consider "low". Hot off the line but reqlly cranking at road speeds. In my dreams I would have a numerically lower diffy.
