  1. Im going to drain it out and refill it as I have no idea what is in it. Going to fill with this Mobil DTE light circulating oil ISO 32. As posted by another member. 40.00 a gallon. So I guess 2 gal will do. I hope that is expensive stuff.
  2. I bought the manual and dang if I cannot find out where the correct check and fill procedure is. It says check this and that if not correct to fill to proper level but I cannot find where it says what the proper level is.
  3. Update. Totally rewired the trans harness. I now have good upshifts and downshifts. Kickdown switch works. Now all I need is to get a tach to work on neg grnd and chart rpms. I have had it up to 70 in 4 but sounds like high revs. Smooth power and pulls real strong. Tried a sun tach using a bucking transformer but rpms read 500 to 600 higher than a hand held.
  4. OK got carb on, pulled rubber plug, removed plug on "torque converter." Looking device. Fluid came running out. Is it supposed to be that way? Thanks. DID NOT DROP PLUG.
  5. nothing showed uo search for running rpms. Have been reading lots from chrysler page.
  6. After i get the carb back on ill get under it andlocate the plug. somebody pop riveted a repair panel across the floor access.
  7. Its on the list but I am layed off and already spent close to 1700.00 getting it roadable I inherited it last month.
  8. is that fed from trans oil? Also the rpms are constant no apparent signs of slipping while driving.
  9. It is a gyromatic and it is going into 4th gear. I have both shifts in low range and high range. I am using a Mac tools et 390 tach unit. It has 3.90 gears with 215/75 15 tires. will try another tach unit.
  10. In my 50 Coronet power goes thru the flasher before going to the switch. Moving the switch to right or left turn grounds the switch at the apropriate left or right lights. Once grounded the flasher bimetal heats up and breaks the circuit.
  11. What should the "cruising" rpm be? At 50mph Im turning about 5,000 and that is in 4th gear. Gyromatic 50 Dodge 6 banger. Thanks Dan
  12. Its a bummer you cant get a Klemm vapor lock eliminator any more.
  13. I know this is old but on my 50 Coronet the turn signal switch is a 6 wire job. Seperate wires for rear lights. If front is working but not 1 side of the fear I would check the switch.
  14. If you pull to cover off the horns you will see a small screw with a lock nut. This is the horn adjustment. Loosen the lock nut and SLOWLY turn the screw in or out to get the horn sounding off. Mine did not work on my 50 Coronet and this is how my brother fixed them. He saw it on a show on tv. Howeverf just looking at your picts and the horns are different than my 50.
