well i found the adjusters on the back side of the backing plate ,turned them in and yahoo ,the drum went on . i guess ill try to make a tool to do the major adjustment . thanks guys .
no ammco tool ,so i might be screwed, anybody have a pic of the piece that touches the brake shoe and cyl. i have 2 styles the part that goes in the cyl?
this one had the glass bowl ,but i removed it and ran straight into the carb fitting . the needle valave looks fine ,cannot blow air in reverse direction and the float is set pretty low . could it be to much fuel pressure?
my flat head ran fine with a jug of gas hanging from the hood. got feul pump working now and it just floods the carb and runs like crap.checked float seems fine .maybe too much fuel pressure? also what are the points set at ,the book says 35 .just dont seem right .
i made one for my s10,puts out a good amount of gasses ,but it works against you if you veh is computorized,o2 senses a lean code and fattens up the fuel. i actually got a little worse gas mileage.it flammable though.
im putting a set of front drums on my car,the drums have the screw in type lugs ,but my old ones have the studs on them already.i was thinking about getting some regular studs and cutting them to length and installing in the drums and tach weld them .good idea or bad.i got the drums from a member here and they are the same diam. just the studs were diff.
my front end on the 50 dodge wayfarer has a large one on one side and a smaller one on the other ,so i either need to get the smaller drum and backing plate or the larger one ,you got any price's on the parts .im down by st.louis
