  2. Wondering where you are located "Up in the Adirondack Mtn's." I was born way up in Malone, NY and my Mom's family was from Chataugay. My grandfather was a village blacksmith there back at the turn of the century . My folks moved to western NY when I was little and we all ended up in Florida back in the late 60's/early 70's. My brother has since retired to the Malone area and winters here in Jensen Beach. He just left yesterday to head back to the north country. All that to say Hi and find out what part of the Adirondacks you are in. As far as parts are concerned. I REALLY need a tinted windshield for my '53 Belvedere 2 door hardtop. I'm told that all but a convertable are the same. Moving out of the MOPAR realm, a buddy down here needs a '32-'34 Ford truck drivers door. My brother up there is looking for any '26-'27 coupe and roadster body parts. He is currently working on a coupe but would like to swap it over to a roadster when he finds a body. I could go on about parts I'd like to find but they are for projects waiting in the wings that I may never get to, and I know no one else has that problem on this forum. Lee
  3. Not sure what I'm doing but trying to attach a picture of my '53 Belvedere. We'll see what happens. Lee
  4. Well here I come again. Just bought my plane ticket. Only $200 more than I've paid in past years. Maybe Normspeed and I can hook up with some of you SoCal boys along the way while I'm out there. Although our dance card is always pretty full, running the tires off the old MoMad and overdosing on car events. Lee
  5. While you are talking exhaust. Wondered if anyone is running straight pipes (no mufflers) with there split exhaust systems on their 6. Some guys over on the Ford Barn love them on the Flathead V8's. Others run Smittys or Brockman steelpacs. Just starting to think about playing with the Belvedere's intake and exhaust and trying to work up a game plan. Lee
  6. Thanks all for the warm welcome. No one even held the fact that Normspeed sent me against me. What can I say about a guy that would fly cross country just to adjust my emergency brake. Now that's a friend. The company that I retired from called me back to work for a month or so, started today. The bad news is it will cut into my time to work on the Plymouth and the bottomless honeydo job jar. The goods news is I'll be able to pay for that plane ticket to Norms next month and maybe have some $$$ left over for MOPAR parts. Still looking for that '53 windshield. Certainly someone knows of a parts car out there with a good one. Lee
  7. Normspeed knows all about that sap stuff. Every year at the end of my week to 10 day visit he always says "Well its time to get rid of the sap." And some years I don't even remember us parking under any trees the whole time??? Lee
  8. My DD is a 2000 Dodge Dakota Sport Quad Cab with th small 4.7 V8. Great truck. And when I'm in the mood, my '32 Ford roadster hot rod. Looks like my son has claimed the '53 Belvedere for the time being. Lee
  9. Hi all, Grandadeo here. I'm the new guy on the block. My old friend Normspeed intoduced me to the site some time ago and I finally got around to registering. I have a stock '53 Belvedere 2 door hardtop that some of you may remember Norm listing for me on the site classified section a year or so back. Although I never really tried hard to sell it no one ever showed any interest in it so I guess It's here to stay. Norm and I go back about 38 + years when we worked together in Fort Lauderdale. He may have moved to the left coast but he couldn't shake me. We have spent every Father's Day weekend for the last 16 years at the LA Roadsters Show in Pomona. I also have a '32 Ford roadster that I've driven out there a few times for that show. Back to the Plymouth. It came from Texas 4 or 5 years ago. Nice car that needed a little tinkering. Bought it for my wife I thought, now it looks like my 30 year old son has claimed it, at least for a while. I guess it's going to be the father/son car adventure we never had when he was younger and wanted to mess with 4-wheel drive trucks. We plan to keep it pretty much stock. Maybe lower it a little and add some spinner hubcaps. Would also like to hop up the 6 similar to Norm's. Well I think I've rambled on enough. Looking forward to keeping my ears open and learning alot from ya'll. Nice to be here, finally. Lee Bearror Jensen Beach, Florida
