  1. I did the same for my Chevy, only I slotted the ends with a hacksaw so I could use a screwdriver.
  2. I picked up some original Fenton headers a while back but have not installed then yet
  3. Well the time has come to replace the clutch in my 48 B1B. At some point in it's life, a P15 motor was installed. My question might be silly, but is the 3-speed trans the same for a P15 car as the B1B? Basically, will a clutch kit for the car work in my truck?
  4. Then I guess my next question would be, how will I set the timing since the marks are on the balance?
  5. The balancer came apart on my 48 Dodge B1B. My question is, do I really need it? The motor is a P15 and not the original. I've heard talk that the balancer only came in the deluxe models and that the trucks never had them. Your thoughts?
  6. that's with a shot, good thinking!
  7. They said that replacements did not exist, and that they'd have to modify a set to work. Also even tho all my parts were new, I was told they'd have to replace everything in order for it to be warranted. I just want to get on the road, it's summer cruisin' time!
  8. Thanks Jerry, I'll begin my search!
  9. Thanks Joe. I did take the starter to such a place and they wanted $357.00 to rebuild the starter. And I already had thenew bushings and brushes installed, along with an NOS armature.
  10. I have P-15 motor in my 48 Dodge truck. The starter needs field coils, but I don't know which ones. I see them listed on sites like eBay, but need a part number so I can search. My starter is MCL-6102 on the tag if that helps. Thank you
  11. Great - thanks guys!
  12. Are you saying you were able to get the disc-type from O'Reilly's, and not the cup-type? Do you have a part number? They didn't know what I was talking about
  13. Will do. I have new cut-glass ready to install, just have to repair the A-Pillar (see my truck picture) then I will be ready to install
  14. Okay thanks Fargos-Go-Far. ONe last question; where can I find the small air cleaners like the ones in the picture on 1937 Dodges picture above?
  15. Where can you find this type of dual exhaust pictured in your post? I've never seen one like that where the outlets angle back
  16. I ordered my windshield gasket from Clester's, and should have it by Friday - fingers crossed!
  17. I've been searching for one like that, I have not found one yet
  18. I'm on it - thanks fellers!
  19. I can make the bracket, but should I apply some silicone around the perimeter? Currently the tube rattles around loosely, probably from years of being unsecured.
  20. On my 1948 B1B the oil fill tube is unsecured and fits loosely in it's location, allowing water the get into the pan. I'm assuming the tube should be a snug, press fit. I'm tired of water getting into my oil, any suggestions people? Thanks
  21. Did you get the one-piece or did you opt for the two-piece gasket?
  22. Looks like he might have been in a hurry to get it going, and hadn't got to the tuning/sync part yet - lol I would love to find an intake from that era. I know you can buy them now from Summit as well as others Yeah I believe his name is Marty. Too bad, because grenade are not fun to drive. Especially when they decide to go, and 200 miles isn't much!
  23. For my '48 B1B! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QfDw94-f_04
  24. Mine looks like the one on the right, in the first picture, but it's a Spicer
