Any Pilothouse owners in the Monroe or Everett area of Washington state? It would be fun to get together & swap ideas, parts, and advice. I'm located in Sultan...
Yeah I just saw you emailed me back in May about this! I need to get on here more often, especially after I post a want ad. Let me know, I really need one...
I have a 1948 B1B that has the P15 motor in it. I need to ask this dumb question; are there any other manual transmissions that I can use with this, are there adapters that will allow this? Thanks
I went out and looked at the numbers on the block, and it begins with P15, so I have a 218. I guess I'll have to find an aftermarket one, such as Edmunds, Offy, etc.
I was looking at my motor number, and it begins with P15. I thought that was a car motor? Or is that a stock engine for a truck? Go easy on me, I am a newbie....
When I bought my truck last month, it had a n 8-volt in it. I thought the guy was smoking crack, because he said that's what it came with. When I asked him how to charge it, he said just use a 6-volt charger. Well needless to say, I went and bought a 6-volt battery & it works just fine.
Oh, I did not know that. Maybe it was the cars that had it as an option? I dunno, but I certainly do appreciate your two cents worth. There is a set-up for sale on ebay right now, it's not a stocker though. Thanks Tony!
Steve
Yes, I am considering a dual carb set-up on the flatty. I believe the engine in my 1948 B1B truck, is a 217 or maybe a 230ci? I need to find out where to look to figure out what it is. Is yours a stock dual intake?
Mike
