  1. I have a 56 plymouth with a 230 that I intend on adding a T-5 to. I have the tranny (S-10) and have done numerous web searches in the past including this site regarding the swap. I've seen Paul Curtis' website and had the pleasure of viewing Don's thread before it was removed. I'm not trying to stir up an old pot here but I am wondering which way to go with this swap. I've cobbled together photos from folks who've done the DC way and I'm wondering OPINiONS on which way is the easiest/cheapest (I'm a scrounger at heart). If the moderators feel like this is hot topic and should be pulled I'm fine with that. Thanks
  2. I grew up in Detroit, born 1960 and Pops worked for Dodge truck. Makes me unbelievably sad ( I hate to say), when I think about how proud that city once was and what it has become.
  3. Forwardlook.com is probably the better forum for this request
  4. Mark, what a great set of videos. I haven't watched all of them but I'd pay you to burn them to a DVD for me. This is what the hobby needs. GREAT stuff
  5. Howdy. I've got a 56 Savoy with a 230 in it and I'm slowly collecting parts for a rebuild of the engine. This is my "project in waiting" as I am currently building a 64 Dart Statiowagon with a slant in it. I've contacted a local shop about a rebuild and it's going to be around $3200. shortblock. I've already gotten an offy dual carb intake and plan on a mild cam and having a local welder modify my stock manifold into a dual outlet. (I have another maifold to get an outlet off of). I've got an engine stand and I'm considering having that shop do the machine work and then assembling it myself. Any advice is welcomed. Parts sources for the internals? I've checked around and it seems that Vintage Power wagons has it all but some of their prices aren't the cheapest I've seen. Eddgy's cams seem like the best value so far. Anyway, if you guys would like to chime in I'd appreciate it. Thanks a bunch
