  1. Man, seeing all those trucks sure makes me miss mine. I was going to come over and bring my truck replacement but its not quite ready yet. I plan on trying again next year. Who know, I might have another Dodge by then.
  2. You may not have access to it but I used the CO2/ Argon gas for my MIG welder. Taped off all the openings and ran a tube through one. Purge the tank for a few minutes and then went to soldering. I've done it for 2 tanks now and I'm still here
  3. I did. Good for him and sucks for me. As I said, something(s) have to go. Buyer is from Arkansas and seems really excited about it. I'll make sure he keeps in touch. Maybe he can finish all the things I started 3-5 years ago. Always said if I had to do it again I'd do things differently. Well, guess now I will have the opportunity to potentially do that. That is once I get rid of the '65 T-Bird, '86 Jaguar and 280Z in my garage. That doesn't even count the '94 & '95 Jags outside the garage or the motorcyle or ....... (See what I mean)
  4. Mike. Too many projects, something has to go. I hate to get rid of it but its the farthest along and most likely to be worth something.
  5. I get Hot Rod and mine doesn't have a Pilot House on the cover. What month has the Pilot House?
  6. Already told you, I'm in. Just pick me up on the way through.
  7. I think you're becoming the largest depository for Pilot House truck parts on the west coast Can't say I blame you. If I had more room, I definitely have more toys. Garage envy, I guess:D
  8. 7-1/4, that makes sense. Some of the other articles I read said I should be prepared to replace the rear end with the 360 in front of it. Guess its a trip to Pick-n-Pull.
  9. Here is the link to the article I mentioned to you yesterday about the New Yorker. Has some of the details of the K-Frame and the 2.2:1 rear end. http://www.dippy.org/forum2/index.php?topic=151.0 Can you change out the diff alone without replacing the entire rear end?
  10. I'm in Carson City (south of Reno) and I'll be at the BBQ. I'd be happy to take a look at it for you, just catch up with me there. I'll be the one in the Yellow Truck
  11. Any early '80s Mopar midsize car should have the 'K' frame. I took mine from an '82 New Yorker.
  12. Yeah, looks like I'll be there after all. I mounted the counter weights in the wrong spot on the torque converter. Will do the test drive this week and if all goes well, head over the mountain on Saturday.
  13. Now, I'm not sure if I'm going to make it. I changed the motor out last weekend and am having vibration issues with the 360. I know its externally balanced and thought I had everything covered but.... Going to make sure I have the torque converter balanced right tonight so cross your fingers.
  14. I have the Newport design in my truck and it was really pretty simple to install. Just make sure the gearing is set up for the proper sweep. Mine didn't come preset and I had to put it in and take it out several times before I realized what was going on.
  15. This is a little off the subject but does involve a v8 Would anybody be interested in a slightly used 318?? I am trying feverishly to get my 360 together and in the truck before the BBQ in CA. next month. If anybody is interested, I will throw the 318 in the back and bring it with me. Engine runs OK but definitely needs freshened up. Engine runs OK but doesn't have the guts at 5500 ft to make much of a hot rod (more like a warm rod) It won't be free but will be cheap.
