  1. Just buy a set of punch stamps and restamp the frame. It's not that difficult, I restamped the frame of my 47 after I pro streeted it and the back frame rails were in the scrap bin. Mackster- Just get a VIN verification and make sure it hasn't been registered in 4 or 5 years. CA will drop it off the books and you only have to pay 3yrs or so??? of back reg.
  2. WOW, hope it goes smoothly. I used a front steer, modified radiator support around the box. Radiator clears by 1/4 inch. Almost too close.
  3. Nice looking car, Any pictures of the subframe. Just want to compare. Did you use a front steer or rear steer clip?
  4. Hello all, Been lurking for a while now because I mostly do streetrods. I do enjoy reading about all the adventers with the flatheads. I enjoy it so much I bough a 49 Dodge completly stock. Did do some mods and I am enjoying it. Some quirks happened but still a solid ride. I am well aware how reliable these engines are. My 47 PLym was a basket case given to me because the P.O. said it was too far gone to be fixed. New floors, rockers, trunk, subrame, and HEMI, almost ready to go.
  5. Hello, Lurker here with first post. Those heater cores are easy as I remember. I THINK you just need to pull the glove box out. At least that was the way I did it on my 86. Took about an hour.
