i have been trying to get on since the new format ....a few years ago. i cant get on..tried everyting but the right thing. cant find out how to reach p15...boss man. changed password, got a ton of numbers to write down. tried to find password change button..where might it be? i still have 3 plymouths, a garage full of parts, slimming down my 'stash', will sell off a car or 2, selling most all my 'smalls', 3 standard trannys, clutch's. pick up only etc etc

HEY JIB...... i would go and look for a copper wire for the plugs. some say the old ones a usually better than a new filament set. a slight miss is noticeable at low speeds high speeds you wont notice it. i bet it is electrical.

no cross over pipe. headers. to get that great sound that pop/pops you need headers, or some manifold system that separates the front 3 from back three cyls. so you hear them separately. seems a crossover pipe, tho helps tuning, adds to the generic muffler/rumble. sounds good but not that great dual ex sound. straight thru glaspaks are wonderful....turbos calm the sound down a bit. i am not sure but with dual ex a stock diameter pipe on both sides seems sufficient. bill

duals increase the 'POP' higher compression increases the tone/pitch. a smaller tailpipe has a higher pitch than a larger diameter one. any glaspak straight thru is sweeeeet , pops and rumbles. loud i switched to the smaller baffle type mufflers to quiet my coupe down...it did just enough to hear the radio.!! you gotta have the split manifold to get the helicopter sound!!! you cant beat the sound/! bill

WHY would you want the 'oldest first?' seems it would be less efficient.? bill

pcv maybe both for good mixture. the vacuum..one carb is enough

great comment...WHY NOT HAVE FUN WITH IT. A life vs a car. i'll take the life! bill

well......... think about it......... are we judging someone else's enthusiasm and goals by our standards,?? who knows! here is a young guy in a different world than we and he is HAVING FUN.! it's on the road! he's driving it.! and he is having a ball with his peers. in my book...you cant beat that.! all comments we have about..it being ugly and whatever.....DONT APPLY.! am i the only one that thinks like this.?? ha! bill!

plymouth convertibles all had the dash PAINTED THE SAME AS BODY COLOR. sedans were w-grained. reasons..?? maybe sun contact on woodgraining would deteriorate.. and the convertible dash was integral to the frame/structure, maybe it was painted at the same time..etc ??? bill

the pics look so nice. as far as i can see it is in super condition as is..and all looks correct. wheels too. interior;, dash and metal window trim should be woodgrained. steering column and handles etc were painted. all models had the same interior paint color on accessories. easy to get woodgrained done..approx professional cost $1,000 for all pieces. i recommend that you join the PLYMOUTH OWNERS CLUB (POC) they have a monthly magazine with several pages of classifiedds and sought after repo parts.. everything you talk about is mentioned there.!! bill my green 41

on my plymouth 1941.....there are only 2 screws on the back threading into the back of the comp door. pretty simple no room for a washer to do anything. maybe you ahve a different set-up. bill

my DAD had a used car lot for FORD MOTORS. back in the 50's. when i turned 16 i had my pick one day....between a 39 packard cvt or a 40 ford cv't. I wanted the packard, but dad wanted me to have the ford.! by the way...the packard was a beater, pink and black and a little rough.! the ford was red with a straight pipe and no heater. but not bad. both were $100 or $150. i took the ford.! THROUGH THE YEARS dad always picked out the cherry cars for me. twice i sold them or traded off for 'hotter' stuff.! he never said a WORD.! I WISH I WAS AS CLASSY AS HE WAS. bill
