  2. http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=529 An old post on a truck I started using the Tex Smith book. I sold the truck awhile back and still don't think it road worthy yet. The only thing I used the book for was the first mesuremnet that was 7 inch past the cab mount were we cut the stock frame off. Then the rest was us.
  3. I think that was the 1st digital picture I ever took about five years ago. I never looked at the date.
  4. My old truck project had a door from a local Gulf station. I have the gas price sign from the same station. When they closed gas was .29 cents a gallon.
  5. Find a Chrysler Windsor hood I think you can cut it down and make it work better the P-15 hood.
  6. You should be glad you never worked in China http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5hTXWDxwAzMnaG5-qBCuueaKf9ZLA
  7. If your worried about the four lug thing. That can be changed In most cases the four lug drums are 9 inch and 90's ranger drums will fit then just have the axles re-drilled for a 5x 4/12 bolt pattern. The drums are cheap and the re-drill shouldn't be to bad either. I learned this from playing with Mustang IIs. These rears will handle some abuse I've ran my Mustang with slicks and haven't broke it yet. This is always a great source for Ford rear info http://www.maliburacing.com/ford_9_inch/ford_nine_inch.htm
  8. Weis Markets we also make some for Food City and Kleins Kosher.
  9. I'm the head of maintenance for a ice cream plant owned by a grocery store chain. Thats right free ice cream....
  10. Yep and I had fun doing it.

  13. Here is another good one ebay and craiglist together. http://www.jaxed.com/cgi-bin/mash.cgi?itm=&cat=cp&fil=&pg=&state=&ys=&ye=
  14. That first couple of rides are always the best. Congrats Now lets see that tire smoking burn-out picture oh I forgot where I was for a second.
  15. That looks like about hour worth of work:D Now stop playing on the computer and get after it.
  16. I used them before and they work just a little pricey if you use alot of them.
  17. Merle, Great meeting you. I'm glad to show you how the other side (hot rod side) lives. I only wish the weather would have been alittle nicer. We could have taken something out for a cruise. Good luck on that truck. Later John
  18. I took a couple leafs out of my old project and put the rear on top the springs. Also you can take the c shaped shackle out move the spring from under the shackle bracket to the top and put the shackle back in. This will lower it about 2inches.
  19. here's the one I just sold. The sub-frame swap is pretty easy http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=529
  20. Check this out. The only thing I don't like about the early 50 mopars was the roof line. Bringing the roof down adds to the curves. What you guys think? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=231864
  21. Thanks Dave it was nice meeting you. Now we'll see it I can do anything with this greasy pile of parts.
  22. Do you still have the Flathead?
  23. Heres the swap I did http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=529
  24. James, you can keep you stock height with this swap. I stacked my new frame on top of the old one to give it more drop. If you make the new frame the same level as the stock one it should give you a stock ride height.
  25. When I mocked the fenders on the truck the lowest point was about 6inchs off the ground. Thats pretty good and I still have those bolts I can turn. I digging the pushbutton shifter idea but its getting a floor shifter as long as a ski pole. I'll have to wait for my 46 d-24 sells to get a car with pushbutton shifter.
