I have tried to join the desoto club. I have got to call them there is something wrong with my account I am working on that along with everything else. I'm just trying to get all the info I can from multiple sources. Thank you for any info that is out there.

Where would I find parts for my new car. It's a 29 desoto with a 175 engine. Eggs don't list anything, Andy b don't list anything. And eBay is full of gadgets that don't fit the car. The carb king can make a carb rebuild kit but it's 16 weeks out. The engine runs but smokes under acceleration so I would like to open it up to see what I got but if I can't find gasket kits I don't want to do that. Any other suppliers???. I also checked Landon's that a no go

Looking for a rebuild kit for a Stromberg U-1 for my 29 desoto. Mike's doesn't offer it. They checked their competitors with no luck. The carb king only answers calls on Mondays and Tuesdays. They don't list it either. Not much online for these. Any thoughts.

Got it running tonight and drove it around the yard. Runs good but smokes good too. Oil pressure at 50 cold and 25 warm. Pretty happy with that. It hasn't gone down the road since 2003

I think the porta power was to remove the rear hubs. He did brakes all around but had a puller made when he couldn't get the hubs off. The car came with the homemade puller

This vehicle has no top. The seller thinks there was no sheet metal roof just vinyl cover. Does this sound right. There are remnants of vinyl

How do you keep the wheels fresh, some linseed oils maybe. I love how the windshield rolls up and down.

So I am now an owner of a 1930 desoto. Just payed for it tonight and am hoping to have it home tomorrow. Original paint and engine. This thing is so. Cool I can't wait to get my hands dirty.

To top it all off the DMV sent us a letter that we owe 2800 for dropping the insurance policy and not turning in the plates. We have TD them the plates melted off the car and it's not even registered anymore. It's just been a clusterflock

No appraisal, was doing so much work on the car they wouldn't be able to keep up. I restored this car in 2 years, I should have kept up with the insurance policy but I guess you never expect a barn fire. The company never required photos for full coverage, it all seamed odd to me and my policy seemed overpriced also. The price was higher than my full coverage on the 2021 SUV I own.

I've heard nothing bad about haggerty and you can customize the policy. What ever milage and what not. My big box store insurance company is trying to give me 3,000 for the car according to some made up value. We had an agreed upon value of 20,000 which is more than it's worth but I was constantly doing upgrades. The taped phone records have all disappeared and they didn't have updated pictures
