  1. Here are a few pics - all 249 of them! Thank you to Tim and everyone who helped make this the best ever. http://s91.photobucket.com/user/goldkoch/library/?sort=2&page=1 If you're registered with photobucket feel free to add comments such as names of people and make/model of vehicle. I'm sure many others would appreciate this. http://s91.photobucket.com/user/goldkoch/library/?sort=2&page=1 Hope you enjoy. It was a terrific day

  2. Put my Spring Specialties springs in today. 3" drop, 10% greater spring rate. How's she look? Test drive was interesting. Handling in general felt much better/improved, and the car handled well to begin with. With the car sitting level, I always had this feeling of not being able to look over the long hood very well. That is 100% improved. The car feels smaller, or "not so big" now. To top it all off, the tires don't rub on the fenders in a tight turn. Me and Lumpy are pretty happy. ken.

  3. I had son in law install the Dodge pickup shock mounts......he bought some shocks based on a number he had seen on here, I think. I believe he said they normally go on a motor home. When I drove the car today for the first time since getting it back....it was pretty bouncy. Which, I presume, means the shock is a bit too stiff. In searching the forum, I found Monroe 3033 (for a 67-91 Chevy truck); ProShox, either sm-500 or 600; and NAPA 94038. Anyone have a shock model they have used and like the results? Thanks.......... The ones now on the car are yellow, but I don't know the model number.

  4. Here are my photos of the faces, fun, and vehicles of this year's 2014 Clements Tailgate BBQ. About eighty photos. It was a fun and interesting day, and the technical lore you pick up at this event is priceless. http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-9K3VQ/

  5. Sunrise on a very special place and event. One line of very nice trucks. You can see that we Love our Dodges but accept others as well. Is there a resemblance? whatever, the host and his special friend. Chloe and Zach. About half way home from the back seat we heard, "Thank you for taking us"! In the morning Chloe said, "Nana, these are really nice people!" and she is correct.

  6. ^Thanks! Tha's what I needed. Now the turning is done. I've got a aluminium brake drum. It's not perfect, there were some air or slag pits in my cast. However, it will do the job as well as the original. The advantage is that it's much lighter than the original. Most important, I've got it here where I need it to put the car back together. The hardest test is still to do, talking apart the 3-speed boxes and assembling one working unit with fluid drive input shaft and R10 behind it. That job should take place during the Easter holidays. To be continued...

  7. For those of you who are eBook readers, just ran across this listing on Amazon for a free Kindle ebook that looks to be good (and received good ratings/reviews): The Old Car Nut Book I'm downloading it for my Kindle, may get a chance to read it on vacation, along with the other 500 books I have on the thing!
