That's a great job. I performed similar surgery on my '40's trunk lid although it wasn't as bad as yours. Keep the progress reports coming.

Wow! Really impressed with your metal work Chet. That is the only way to fix those problems. Cut out the metal, rust, etc and replace.

Thank you all for the At-a-Boy.

The only other things I hate more then doing bodywork is drywall taping and hanging wallpaper. Welding has always been a challenge, I learned to weld in my youth while working in a machine shop prior to going to college. Although I like to weld I just couldn’t do it for long periods. It seems that I have light sensitive eyes and even with a very dark eye shield after a short period of welding my eyes will actually hurt. The very dark eye shield makes it extremely difficult to tack weld thin sheet metal. I am kind-a like a blind man doing trim paint.

Norm (the other norm), no pain, no gain. Have at those rockers.

Very, very impressive. I think you said your garage in Delaware is air conditioned. I sure hope so given the weather this past weekend.
