steveplym Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 Looks like a pretty solid car. Nice interior and seats. Also what got my attention is it is the same color I just painted my car. Kind of neat to see what the color looks like with all the trim on. Looks like a lot of info on P-15's too. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Plymouth-2-DOOR-1948-STYLE-1949-PLYMOUTH-SPECIAL-DELUXE-AMAZING-CA-SURVIVOR_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3286Q2em14Q2el1308QQhashZitem220261383845QQitemZ220261383845 Quote
Normspeed Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 Very nice car and quite a history lesson on P15s. Sadly, kind of an oversell. I never did see the last of the photos load on dialup:D Quote
daddyo23 Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 I'd like to find out what color blue that is. Might get rid of the "taxi cab yellow" this winter.. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 The motor in that blue coupe was blue, Norm. Fairly clean. Seats were done similar to original but with tan looking trim instead of maroon. Nice car. After all the good stuff they did, the trunk mat was dirty and the spare tire was bald. Just amazing. Quote
Don Coatney Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 Very nice car and quite a history lesson on P15s. Sadly, kind of an oversell. I never did see the last of the photos load on dialup:D The history lesson looks like it came directly from the information on this sight. Quote
steveplym Posted July 25, 2008 Author Report Posted July 25, 2008 I'd like to find out what color blue that is. Might get rid of the "taxi cab yellow" this winter.. I purchased an almost identical color from TCP Global. They call it marine blue. Here's a link to their site and the color. http://www.tcpglobal.com/restorationshop/rsp1509.aspx I went with their basecoat/clearcoat system. Used polyurethane clear on my car. Really like the paint and it is cheaper than the bigger paint companies lines, but does not seem like cheap paint. It color sands and buffs out very nice. Quote
oldmopar Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 Clean looking car it amazes me how much he typed way to much for me to read. Looking at all the photos and all that typing I think it may have a high reserve. oh and it needs a wiper knob the one he has does not look correct so that would kill the sale for me Quote
homebrewer Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 Another thing that I noticed, although I may be mistaken, is that the dash has been repainted. Or perhaps the 49's did not have woodgraining. Me thinks that it has been restored at some point and is not an "original survivor" . I did like the history lesson though. George Quote
