Guest PeggyRicciuto Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 I'm looking for a shop manual for a 1953 Dodge Truck. It is a Model B-3-D-126. I believe I have to get the 1951-52 manual and then the 53 supplement. I need paper copy, not CD ROM. Also need Wheel Studs (lug Bolts and nuts). Need at least 2 left hand thread. Bolts are 2 1/4" long with a 7/8" head. They have a "clipped" head with one corner sawed off. My brother owns the truck. It was bought new by my Father in 1953. He is fixing some of the things which have worn out but having trouble finding parts. He especially needs the shop manual. Any help would be appreciated. I have searched several websites but most just have the CD Rom and he doesn't have a computer. Quote
TodFitch Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 I believe you can get the wheel studs from Roberts Motor Parts: http://www.robertsmotorparts.com/index.html They are probably available from other vendors too like Power Wagon but I happened to have ordered some other stuff from Roberts and noticed those in the catalog. MBF Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 I got the wheel studs and lugs from NAPA. Check ebay-there are several vendors selling service manuals. Mike Quote
Guest PeggyRicciuto Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 Thank you but no joy there! Quote
Guest PeggyRicciuto Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 They didn't have them. Thanks anyway. Quote
MBF Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 Peggy-NAPA probably is not going to have the lugs listed by truck application. What I did was take one to them and they matched up the dimensions and pulled them off the shelf. I didnt have a good experience w CranknHope and bought only 1 manual from them. The rest came from other sources, (Bob Johnson). Mike Quote
