Hi guys, just thought I'd give ya an update on what's happening, as promised. The '55 now lives in the South Island, destined to spend it's days as a bridal car.... :P

I've got me a 1928 Furd Tudor sedan body with a 3" roof chop, full set of fenders etc, 1947 Furd V8 motor (sweet runner), a set of 16" wire wheels, and most everything else I need, except for a frame. As soon as I find a frame that's not bent or rusted out, I'll do a mockup and post some pics.

Take care.... Marty.

Marty,

Sounds like it will be a sweet ride. Are you going to post pics or a link to any? Would definitely like to see some when you do. Would also still like to hear your music someday. Something about rockabilly bass that I just like, sort of like home-made mashed potatoes; not always special but a real treat to find.

Thanks for keeping in touch.

Say it isn't so Marty! You have gone over to the dark side.

Quick run from that garage screaming before your blood turns blue.

You might want to contact member John Burke. He built up a car using pieces similar to whet you have collected. He made his own frame for it. He has the process pretty well detailed in a PHOTOBUCKET album. I had a link to it but its on an older laptop. He still posts from time to time, so you can send him a pm or an email. or you can look him up in the member list in the J's for John. I'm sure he can give you some tips from his experience.

John's car is a model A roadster that started as a Coupe, and is powered by a 251 Desoto engine. I had the privilege of having a ride in it a couple summers back. riding in a fenderless car on dirt roads is quite an experience.

Give John a shout. Perhaps you won't have to wait to find a frame.
