I recently got a new 6V flasher from Napa (P/N 535) and will be finishing the wiring for my rear lights and turn signals. The terminals on the flasher are marked "X", "P", and "L". Going by Mr. Coatney's infamous 'Foxtron' diagram it looks like the "P" and "L" would be the flashing signals going for directionals and 4-ways. But it doesn't show the "X". I have to assume that the power source feeding the flasher is the "X" terminal? Can anyone confirm this?

I have a Signal Stat switch, so my color code is different, but I've figured it out. Otherwise it's a 7 wire switch and would be wired the same as the one pictured.

Yes, you are correct. the "X" is the fused power feed to the flasher. "P" is for the switch indicator light (after it is grounded) and "L" is for direction flashing. I just got done wiring mine 2 days ago, and so far, so good.

I got my wiring finished this weekend and the 'winkers' appear to be working fine. However, the 4-way flasher function of my Signal Stat 900 switch doesn't work unless I switch some wires around for the flasher. Unlike in the pic I posted, of the Foxton switch, my Signal Stat switch used separate power supplies for directional and 4-ways. And the indicator lamp gets powered from the outputs to the main lamps. Am I going to have to run 2 flashers, or can I tap off of the one to power both circuits? I was hoping that the P and L terminals would be used for the 2 circuits, but it doesn't work that way.

Is anyone out there familiar with Signal Stat 900 switches? The indicator bulb is a #53, which is a 12V bulb. I believe a #51 would be the 6V replacement. Can anyone comfirm this?
