hoofchaz Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 I took the heat and defrost equipment out of my 1953 Cranbrook because the valve on the firewall leaked into the passenger compartment. Are there repair parts available for the valve? Where can I get some info and parts? Thanks, CHAZ Quote
Normspeed Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 Chaz, on the original valve there is a little rubber seal that goes bad. There are a few places that rebuild them, one is near Paso Robles CA but probably well over $100 for one. I found an old post, let's see if this link goes to the note with the part number.. http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showpost.php?p=59502&postcount=9 Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted May 22, 2008 Report Posted May 22, 2008 last I saw this guy his price was in the 135.00 neighborhood for the Plymouth units...I just upgraded mine to a almost look alike but does require a tad of mod..sweet part is the cable clamp and throw and such is all as stock... Quote
FMSPEED49 Posted May 22, 2008 Report Posted May 22, 2008 I bought a $7.00 ball valve with a knife switch on it at the local hardware store, bent a little bracket and fastened cable, works perfect. Quote
