Too bad you missed him, Tim. I'm sure you both would have enjoyed the chat.

I found a bill of sale from 1967 in my Chrysler under all the mouse souvenirs and called the number on it and the fellow listed on the bill of sale answered the phone. ;)

I got a fair bit of info, and he said he had some pics. I haven't got them yet :(

I guess I'm one of the few who doesn't care that much about checking with the original owner on my coupe. I've had the papers from both the original and second owner since I bought it (I'm the third) and never tried to contact the original owner, even though he was from Wisconsin too. For me it was enough to simply know where the car spent it's earlier days to when I bought it. Of course the second owner did tell me what history he had when he was selling it.

I thought about trying the same thing since I had the original title to see if the orig. owner had the Jasper rebuild put in , etc. Found several of the same name in PA but not in the town. Tried the dealer who bought it from him but no luck as well. No great loss but it would have been interesting to know about the cars past.

Tim, researching in family history for years I've done the same you did more than once. It doesn't feel good and hope you hadnt rehashed old feelings are your last thoughts..
