james Callahan Posted May 9, 2008 Report Posted May 9, 2008 Help I don,t see the heads of any screws in the rear arm rest on my 1950 dodge coronet 4 door, how do you remove them ? Thank You James Callahan Quote
Young Ed Posted May 9, 2008 Report Posted May 9, 2008 James is this the armrest tucked down next to the seat? I think you have to pull the seat pieces out to find the fastners Quote
james Callahan Posted May 9, 2008 Author Report Posted May 9, 2008 No the rear arm rest is on the door panel. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted May 9, 2008 Report Posted May 9, 2008 Hmm....well, depending upon how the armrest is made......there is usually a metal U shaped bracket under each end to attach with. Or there could be holes inset into the ends of the rest with a countersunk screw down in the hole. Or......ya gotta remove the door panel, then would be some sort of fasteners from the back side for the rest. This is a 51 Dodge door......can't see any fasteners.....may be from the back side. Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted May 9, 2008 Report Posted May 9, 2008 Maybe it's like the arm rest in the back seat of a club coupe. If so, you'll have to remove the side panel or door panel first. It's attached to that. Has a steel plate with screws through the steel plate and door panel into the arm rest. Remove whatever panel its hanging on and you'll see how to remove the arm rest. Quote
james Callahan Posted May 9, 2008 Author Report Posted May 9, 2008 I found them there is a metal plate under the rear arm rest pry it off and the two screw are there. ThankEveryone Quote
