Fireball Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Hi fellows Here's a snapshot of my new looks for summer 2008 I think '49 Plymouth bumper is needed in front... Quote
tragic59 Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 The car looks great! I agree a '49 Plymouth bumper would be nice. Any shots of the interior? Quote
NatesSedan Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Looks great! I was wondering from your previous shots if it was just goiong to be too much orange for my tastes but it really turned out nice.Did you have any accidents getting all the trim Etc. back on? We are getting ready to paint my father in laws P-15 coupe a burnt orange from Hot Rod Flatz. Quote
wilmot andy Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 The car looks great, but was wondering, whats with the roof ladders? Quote
Fireball Posted April 19, 2008 Author Report Posted April 19, 2008 Tragic, I'll shoot some interioir pics tomorrow. Nates, Trim went back quite ok, not perfect though. The pieces under door handles are cracked in half. I need new ones there and handles could be better also, as well as drivers side headlight bezel and the rocker trims are the worst. Andy, Those roof ladders prevent snow falling over my cars, or somebodys head. Quote
Normspeed Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Looks like you're ready for a summer of cruising. The car looks so much better with the new paint scheme. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Sharp!!! Looks real good. Now you're ready to rock-n-roll. Quote
Uncle-Pekka Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Great Job! The Coop looks reel sharp in orange. Nice hup caps, I recall you told you made the bullets yourself... Tail lights are top of a cherry. Are the fender skirts steel? They do look the same as the pair I bought last summer from Big Jim of Texas. Mine are glass fiber, though. Quote
Don Coatney Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Looks great. Are the lakes pipes funcitional? How does it sound? Quote
Phil Martin Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Is this the car from country cassics in Staunton, Ill? If so it sure looks different from when I saw it. Quote
mackster Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 WOWSER! it looks great! I have not seen a before picture but as it sits, it looks killer!!! Quote
Normspeed Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 I believe it was yellow with scallops. The new paint really makes it pop. Quote
Fireball Posted April 20, 2008 Author Report Posted April 20, 2008 Thanks gentlemen, glad you like it also. Phil, yup indeed this is the very same Illinois car. After dozen squarefeets of new steel plus some minor it's still regognisable? Oh I need to hammer it further... Skirts are plastic and lake pipes are not functioning. Quote
NatesSedan Posted April 20, 2008 Report Posted April 20, 2008 Off topic a little here but what camera are you using...that is a very sharp pic with nice vivid colors. Photography is kind of a second hobby to me so I was just curious. Quote
Fireball Posted April 20, 2008 Author Report Posted April 20, 2008 Here's my interior shots that I promised. I just made the sill plates today out of aluminium. My camera is Canon PowerShot A570IS nothing fancy. 7.1 megas Quote
