RobertKB Posted February 29, 2008 Report Posted February 29, 2008 While tuning up my car (see earlier post), I noticed that the rubber oil line hose was starting to weep. This is something I check quite regularly and it had always been good but I guess recently it decided to show its age as it is likely original to the car. Lots of them on ebay and I think I will try to pick up three so I can have a new one for each of my cars with the flathead. Just a precautionary note that these hoses do eventually deteriorate and should be watched regularly. Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted February 29, 2008 Report Posted February 29, 2008 Mine did the same about a year or so ago. I just picked up a short brake line hose at the auto parts store to replace it. Works fine. Quote
55 Fargo Posted February 29, 2008 Report Posted February 29, 2008 Robert you could do what Norm did or go to Princess Auto, they custom make hydraulic lines and such..............Fred Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted February 29, 2008 Report Posted February 29, 2008 I think I got my replacement oil hose from Dodge City Truck Parts in Sunderland, Ontario. Here's a link to their site. I spoke to the owner at the time....seemed nice enough. Think the hose was about $15. http://www.antiquedodgeparts.com/ Quote
