JIPJOBXX Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 My 42 has a fluid drive with the proper carberator which is a BVX and I have the original choke setup on it. This is the one that works oft the manifold heat and opens the choke butter fly in the carberator. Well this carberator in it design work somewhat but when the engine is cold it takes forever for the gas to get into the engine. I have a regular carberator that doesn't match up to the fluild drive part but it has been modified to use a push-pull choke cable. Has anyone used this set up in a fluid drive car? The BVX has a second kick down chamber to make sure the car doesn't stall but do I need to have that special carberator or can I just use this other type? Thanks Jon Quote
PatS.... Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 You need the kickdown switch and the dashpot for the M6 transmission to shift properly. If you have a 3 speed transmission and not the M6, you can use your spare carb. Quote

PatS.... Posted February 23, 2008 Report Posted February 23, 2008 Not aware of a neutral switch on a standard or M6 old Mopar. Quote
