gas line size

What is the size of the metal gas line from the tank forward.

Ordered the carb rebuild kit and fuel pump today from NAPA will go back to pick up tomorrow and since the only think not updated is the fuel line might as well replace that also so I will pick up some tubing tomorrow . So if anyone has the size of the tubing it will save me from taking it apart to measure it.

It be 5/16, you can buy the easy bend stuff that don't kink. It can be made into a coil if necessary

5/16; thanks was going to use steel but what you suggest sounds good is there a name for.

Not sure what they call it in your part of the USA, but they call it Polymer or Polymar tubing here in Canuckland...........Fred

Quick tip: use an open-end wrench to find tubing size...a 5/16" wrench fits 5/16" tubing snugly, etc.

Fedhill or something close to that name sells the softer tubing and rents a flaring tool also. Eric

Fedhill is kinda of expensive last time I checked, this polymer tubing is premade to certain lengths, but is real easy to bend and does not kink, it is about 30% more in price.....................Fred
