The restoration on my 1952 Dodge 1/2 ton P/U is just about complete, but I have found out that the brake drums are not serviceable and worn out causing the new brake cylinders to leak. Its a real delima. neither Roberts or Vintage Power Wagons have anything available.

Does anyone have or know of a source for brake drums for my truck or a possible fix.?

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks,

Mike

Maybe you could take one to your parts house and see if they could match one that is newer. Would have to be same dia. and width for shoes. Then you would have to chisel off rivets and put the new drum on and it would be held in place by the lug bolts.

I would try to find a drum gauge and get them checked. These drums have to be pretty worn to be unuseable.
