mvance1944 Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 I bought a Dodge B3B 1/2 ton p/u from the original owner. He replaced the original engine with what I believe to be a Chrysler commercial flathead six. He has since pasted away and I'm trying to identify the engine as to its size. The I.D. number on the left front top of the block is C-I-11915. The casting No. on the crankshaft is 1138129-1 and the rods are numbered 954428. The head measures 25 3/8 in by 7 3/8 ins. Does anyone reconize these numbers and tell me about the engine? Thanks, Mike mvvance@verizon.net Quote
Young Ed Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 C I sounds like Chrysler industrial. Quote
PatS.... Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 The rod part # sounds familiar: http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=7463 From the last post by James: "Went out on the vintage powerwagon site and found that the 954428 rods fit the 251 engine and will be of no use to me."
