Clementine Posted February 17 Report Posted February 17 Anyone ever put a 54 C 1 230 into a 49-52 B 1 or B 3. I am looking at an engine but the bell housing looks different, might be a fluid drive? If it is and has 8 bold crank, would i be able to reuse the flywheel?? Quote
Merle Coggins Posted February 18 Report Posted February 18 From what I've seen the C-series changed the bell housings to be more like that used in the cars. However, everything forward of the bell housing should be pretty much the same. Just use your bell housing on that engine block and it should all be good. Quote
Clementine Posted Wednesday at 02:02 PM Author Report Posted Wednesday at 02:02 PM Yeah sorry Merle, this is Dana Cotant, been on this forum for a while but forgot my password and it does not believe me on the security question so I created a new account until I can sort it out. Anyway, I am near Daleyville, which is near Mount Horeb. My 49 Dodge B-1-C (Clementine) recently threw a valve I think so I am trying to get a different engine until I can get the old one rebuilt.
