Steering wheel identification

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone could help with identification of my steering wheel/horn ring. It's on my 53 Australian built Plymouth Cranbrook.

But I suspect it is from a Desoto Diplomat as I have seen pics of a couple of DeSoto's with the same wheel, but with a full circle horn ring.

Our horn ring is broken in the corners. Considering wether to find a better one or attempt a repair.

I quite like the look of rhe half circle horn ring as it suits the 2 spoke wheel. So may just repair it to not have sharp edges/damage on the corners.

Ozjohn, welcome aboard, I can't help re the steering wheel but as the Oz mopars, Dodge,Plymouth & DeSoto were all essentailly badge engineered & Plymouth based the steering wheel could be from either of the 3 brands tho' Robins answer maybe the correct one......whats the rest of the car like?........from the pic posted it would seem to be in good nick.........got any more pics?......we all love pics......lol..........regards from South Grafton, NSW.......Andy Douglas
