What are these parts? Can you identify them?

Hi All,

I've been unpacking my puzzle of a project as all the previous removed features were put inside the car after the previous owner passed on.

I have a D42 1952 Coronet Convertible

These may not go with this car, i won't get rid of them either way.

Attached are some pictures and I have not found these in the shop manual diagrams:

1 - is a heavy crossmember that looks like it might have been a transmission brace but the convertible has a X frame and there is already a small L shaped bar in that area. The L shape may have been swapped in by the PO but I don't see anywhere or how this approx. 4' long brace would fit.

2 - are heavy gauge boomerang shaped braces x 2

3 - are curved and contoured pieces that look look they would be part of the front wheel wells but how or where would they fit? x 2

4 - is an odd shaped piece, fairly flat, maybe a panel somewhere but not in the floor

5 - last is another formed piece, maybe under the engine or transmission?

Thanks for any help putting a name and location for these.
Eric

#3 is a front valance/stone guard isn't it?  The front lip goes into the back of the bumper.

grea235, possible but I don't think they match up to the bottom of my '52 grill. I have a right and a left stone guard, flat sections.

2 - are heavy gauge boomerang shaped braces x 2

Bumper braces probably not your vehicle.

3 - are curved and contoured pieces that look look they would be part of the front wheel wells but how or where would they fit? x 2

Front fender extensions

Wild guess 55 Chevy

What other cars did the previous owner have or was working on

LazyK, your picture looks like a match, same shape and hole pattern.  I'll ask some of the Chevy guys at Saturdays show. I'm not sure what else he had. There were a couple of Chevy Impala side moldings stuffed in the pile as well as 2 vent window assemblies that are not for my car. I got the convertible through a car shop that didn't want to restore it. Thank you, maybe that cross member is also for a Chevy-
